Vikas Bharti School is a dream come true of a few visionaries whose aim was to establish a real public school, which could cater to the needs of Purvanchal as well as North East provinces, Bihar, Nepal and Bhutan. It is a privately supported, fully residential and admits both boys and girls. The school which has completed its 10 year on June 04, 2005, has placed itself into best 100 residential schools of India and the same has been incorporated in a book titled 'Hundred Good Schools of India' by Mr. Sandeep Dutt and published by English Book Depot, Dehradun..

School Campus

The school nestles in pure, clean environment set amongst abundance of greenery, with protected forests on three sides of the campus, on an extensive plain of 88 acres, close to Gorakhpur-Pipraich main road and Unaula railway station, 11 kms. from the city.  Gorakhpur is a low profile city in the heart of the Purvanchal region with all modern facilities and amenities yet, thankfully devoid of ill-features of modernity.

The School follows the syllabus prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi.

Admission

Registration is the first stage of admission. Parents seeking registration should first submit the duly filled in application form. Registration is not a guarantee of admission. Since seats are limited, selection is made through written entrance test in English, Hindi and Maths, followed by an interview on last Sunday of February. The test is based on the standard the entrant is expected to have achieved in the previous class.

Extra Curricular Activities

The period of transformational growth i.e. adolescence is the period when emotional and physical energy begin amassing in children. Such emotional and physical energy need to be harnessed and channelized. Such energy is put to creative work.

Given the natural instinct of the children, the school provides a wide range of Spare Time Activities (STA) of the sublime kind that help them to direct their energies towards appreciation, learning and creation of beautiful and artistic work.

Sports Activities

Physical activity is a vital element for all round development of children, particularly their physical aspect of growth.
The School provides multifarious sports facilities to the children. The focal point of the School's sports facilities is its central main field, dotted with huge playgrounds for field sports, ringed by an athletic track and a spectator seating. And there is a jogging path on the periphery, amidst the beautiful flowering trees.

In the sports arena, the school has regular PT. and Yoga for the students. The school has quality facilities for all outdoor games under the guidance of trained instructors with separate fields for different games such as Cricket, Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Lawn-tennis etc. Facilities for all indoor games including table tennis, carom, chess, etc., are provided in the hostel.
