About AIPGDET

All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Test is an examination conducted by Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College for admission to the Dental Programmes in Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital situated in Pune.

AIPGDET Eligibility

A candidate who passes final BDS examination from a recognized dental college, included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act 1948 and who has obtained final registration either from the Dental Council of India or from any State Dental Council, after completing one year compulsory rotatory intership, will be eligible to appear for AIPGDET-09

Candidate who has not completed one year compulsory rotatory internship and is likely to complete the same on or before 31st March 2009 can appear for the AIPGDET-09

Candidate who is yet to complete his/her internship should submit certificate from Principal/Dean dental college, regarding the likely date of completion of the internship.

Candidate who is previously registered and is pursuing or completing the same course

Candidate should keep one photocopy of his/her application form, receipt/Admit card and the information brochure for subsequent use.

A NRI Candidate should possess dental qualification recognized by Dental Council of India included in the schedule of the Indian Dental Council Act 1948. The candidate will have to obtain registration of Dental Council of India before joining and such candidate need not appear for the AIPGDET-09.

AIPGDET 2009 Important Dates

1. 17-12-08 – deadline to submit application forms.
2. 24-12-08 – last date to submit application forms with a late fee of Rs.500/-
3. 06-01-09 – date of examination and the timing will be from 11.00am to 02.30pm.
4. 09-02-09 – declaration of results.
5. 14-03-09 — Counseling for Admissions
6. 07-04-09 — Last date for joining the college
7. 10-04-09 — Commencement of Academic Session
8. 31-05-09 — Last date of admission against vacancies

AIPGDET 2009 Application Process

The brochures and application forms can be obtained :

1. From the university office on payment of Rs. 1000/- in cash or D.D.

OR

2. (If required by post) through a requisition letter along with a demand draft of Rs. 1250/- drawn on any nationalized bank, in favour of "Registrar, Dr.D.Y.Patil University", payable at Pune

OR

3. By downloading from the official website or the University website. The downloaded form is to be submitted along with a demand draft that includes Entrance Test Fee and price of Brochure.
